In this gallery are six of the panoramas that were included in the Gallery Oldham Exhibition in the summer of 2003.
Oldham Photographic Society, to which I belong, had been asked to contribute some panoramic local scenes in whatever style we preferred. Being a long-time fan of David Hockney's panoramic 'joiners' I decided to make my images in a similar manner. The resultant files were enormously big (for that time) when compared with my usual ones but I just went for a brew whilst I waited for the computer to churn its way through each adjustment as it was made!
The final images were printed commercially and then displayed as panels, four of which were 6 feet in length, one 4 feet and one 3 feet.
