This
montage/panorama was made from digital photographs taken in February 2003
when there was fresh snow on the ground. Wherever you looked, that day,
there was an expanse of gleaming white that appeared completely unspoiled
in the brilliant sunshine. The images were all taken from one spot, on Whitegates
Lane, near the corner with Back Lane/Doctor Lane. High Moor Quarries were
behind me, and I was looking towards the south. The camera was turned through
approximately 180º. The original photographs were assembled in the
computer, given a drop shadow and then flattened. |
