1911 Census
On the 1911 census the family were living at Cliff Lodge, New Mills, Derbyshire.
Hargreaves was a 'manufacturer of chemicals used for textile trades' and an employer.
Son Fred (19) was a 'colour mixer in a printworks';
Hilda (17) was a 'clerk in the Post Office; Jessie was a 'clerk in the Co-operative Stores Office';
Gilbert (14) and a younger sister age 5 were both still at school.
