 WW1 serviceman

Private William Bowler, 77061
Royal Welsh Fusiliers, 11th Battalion.

William was the son of Charles and Ellen Bowler.
He enlisted in Ashton under Lyne and was originally in the Lancashire Fusiliers, No. 5233.
He served in the Balkans and was killed in action in Serbia, 13th September, 1918, age 25.

He is remembered on the Doiran Memorial, Northern Greece (close to the border with Macedonia)
