Of Suthers Street, Middleton

He said he was against military doctrine
He had been a Sunday School teacher for about 14 months
He said that militarism cannot be crushed by militarism. It is like trying to crush evil with evil.

He had tried to enlist in the Navy Medical Corps but was rejected.

Sent to non-combatant service
