Arthur Winterbottom - Conscientious Objector

Marriage Certificate of Arthur Winterbottom to Alice Taylor, 6th October 1915
The couple were married at the Congregational Chapel on Union Street, Oldham. the service was conducted by the Rev. Michael Philip Davies.
Arthur was described as a bachelor, age 25, employed as a bank clerk and living at 192 Frederick Street, Oldham. His father, William was a machine salesman.
Alice was described as a spinster, age 24 employed as a school teacher (certified) and living at 89 Pitt Street, Oldham. Her father, Charles was a proof reader.
Witnesses at the wedding were Mrs. Taylor and Arthur's sister, Elsie.
