Newspaper obituary:

"Rifleman John William Frost, of the King's Own Rifles, was killed in action on June 23d. He was aged 37, and leaves a widow and four children, who reside at 53 Prospect Road, off Main Road, Chadderton. He joined the army in June of last year, prior to which he was a minder at the Northmoor Spinning Company's mill."
