Newspaper obituary:

"Official intimation has been received that Private Andrew Lane, R.A.M.C. Field Ambulance Corps, was killed in action on 2nd July. He enlisted on 5th Oct. 1914, and went out to France in July, 1915. He was 25 years of age, single, and lived with his parents at 231, Ashton-road West, Failsworth, before enlisting. He was employed at Ivy Mill, Failsworth, as a piecer."
