Newspaper obituary:

"Private Thomas Mason, East Lancashire Regiment, of 152 Derker Street, Oldham, was killed in action on July 1st. He was 35 years of age, a married man with three children. He enlisted in October 1914, and saw service in Gallipoli before being invalided home with dysentery. Since recovering he has been in France about six months. Before enlisting he worked in the roller room at Messrs Asa Lees ad Co.'s works. "
