"Official intimation has been received by Mrs Cooper, 32 Allen Street, Failsworth, that her husband, Private Sidney [Sidlow] Cooper, King's Own Royal Lancaster regiment, was killed on July 1st. He was 32 years of age, enlisted on April 12th 1915 (prior to that he worked at Moston Colliery), and went to France last summer. He leaves a widow and three children."
