Newspaper obituary:

"Private Thomas Travers, of the Border Regiment, whose mother resides at 2 off 14 Tattersall Street, Oldham, has been killed in action. Travers was 19 years old, and joined the army 15 months age, having been at the front 10 months. He had once previously been wounded, and was killed on July 1st. Travers worked as a big piecer at the Osborne Mill before enlisting. His father is serving with the Oldham Comrades' Battalion"
