Battle of Poelcapelle.

On the evening of the 8th, the heavily laden men of the 2nd/10th Manchester battalion lined up, with the rest of the Brigade, to march up to the front where they were to be in support of the two Battalions of the East Lancashires who were to lead the attack in their sector in what became known as the Battle of Poelcapelle.
