St Mary's (Catholic) Parish Annual Ball
1950 perhaps?

The fresh faced young fellow (in a DJ) front to right of clergy is Aelred Taylor and my partner for the evening was Maureen Heeley right, next to Pillar in floral dress.
She looks different as she took her glasses off for the photo. I used to know the name of the clergy -- but that was then!

I was working temporarily in Sheffield and Maureen invited me to the Parish Ball.
Maureen was a teacher at St Mary's School and I knew her through my aunt May Kilcoyne.
She married a local boy the last I heard, they were both teaching in Reading -- but that was a long time ago.
